The Corvette C8 is the first production Corvette to have a rear mid-engine configuration

is also GM's first rear mid-engine production car since the 1984
Pontiac Fiero.
It is powered by a 6.2 liter naturally aspirated V8
called the LT2, this engine generates 495 horsepower and 470 lb/ft of
torque when equipped with the Z51 performance package. The Corvette C8
convertible is the first Corvette with a retractable hardtop.
